This is an initiative which sees groups of sick children taken to Fota where they enter a Christmas wonderland of brightly lighted Christmas trees, decorations, toys and games. They are entertained by clowns and storybook characters, face painting, and best of all a visit to Santa Claus' cave.
Attended by his elves Santa (aka Lion Bernard Greaves) talks to each one and they get delightful presents for going home. The Santa visit is preceeded by party food with many special treats and drinks.
Special thanks to members of the Kinsale Vintage Car Club who took time off to bring the children to Fota, and the very many volunteers who made the event possible.
