Kinsale Lions/Kinsale Red Cross Defibrillator Project
In recent weeks more defibrillators have been deployed about Kinsale, now giving a wide coverage to ensure prompt help in the event of an emergency.
The locations of the life saving devices are as follows:
• Pearse Street, next to Harte's Pharmacy
• Garda Station at Guardwell
• Harbour Office at Pier Head
• Haven Bay Care Centre
• Scilly, opposite Man Friday
• Summercove, opposite The Bulman
A map showing the locations is being prepared, and a copy will be circulated to everyone in Kinsale.
Using the machines is not difficult, but training is essential. Many people have been trained but more need to come forward so that there is a greater chance that someone can be saved by the prompt action of a competent person.
